The Fast Brain Friend is a notebook for those of us whose brains can feel like the constant swell of an orchestra, a swarm of bees, or a pinball loose in a machine.
Designed to help narrow your focus, organise your thoughts and move through your tasks one day at a time, it gives you structure when you need it, without expectations.
Goes well with:
THREE WAYS TO
ENJOY YOUR
FAST BRAINS
01 EVERY NOTEBOOK HAS 33% MORE PAGES
Noticeably chunkier, but still snack-sized.
Page volume has increased to 64 pages in every notebook including the addition of a dot grid section at the back for bullet journalling, brain dumps, and bright ideas.
The notebooks are still slim, undated and thread sewn. They continue to slip perfectly inside all of your folios (just a touch more girth).
02 SHE'S NEVER FELT BETTER IN YOUR HANDS
The matte laminate is gone. We wanted to marry up our planner range with the same durable, tactile finish of our Hobby Note range, making sure your entire collection looks and feels like they belong together.
Fast Brain notebooks are now printed in a richer offset colour, both inside and out, all on uncoated 300gsm craft.
03 WE'VE MORE THAN DOUBLED THE DAILY LAYOUT OPTIONS AND SORTED THEM INTO MODES FOR YOU
The old edition shuffled the same 7 designs week after week. New Season Fast Brains have 16.
The new layouts can be categorised into Circular, Spine, Buckets or Timeblock - each built for a different kind of day and chosen based on what the behavioural science says actually works when the focus is hard to find.
The new layouts have been built off 5 more years of knowledge in the field of neurodiversity, and road testing from hundreds of thousands of users on how your brain truly interacts with the layouts.
They are incredibly special (and fun).
04 THE LAYOUTS HAVE BUILT IN PARALYSIS BREAKERS
Some of the most common feedback from new users was that feeling of paralysis when approaching different layouts for the first time.
So we built small, unobtrusive guidance into every layout to help you push past this moment.
These prompts give more insight into not just how a certain layout can be approached, but what is happening in your brain when you do it (pretty cool right).
Importantly - these sections remain nothing more than helpful ideas. You can still choose to use them in entirely different ways... we secretly love when you do.
05 BUILT AROUND YOUR DAYS, NOT YOUR CALENDAR
This might actually be the most important change. Fast Brain notebooks were originally built in a way that felt like they should only last a month at a time. But the reality is that not every day needs to be plotted out.
What we have found is that most people keep a Fast Brain on hand for fuzzy days, and then accompany that with one of our other notebooks for organising their actual calendar.
The increase in density of each notebook plus the shift in how layout modes work has been an ackowledgement of how people are really using the notebooks, and is why it's no longer tied to a month at all.
It's okay if one notebook lasts you months a time.
We also shifted the weekly preparation spreads to the back of the notebook. Daily focus layouts drive the goal of a Fast Brain, but weekly prep remains an option for when your executive functioning just ain't functioning.
FAST BRAIN HAS BEEN PRINTED, SEWN AND SHIPPED OUT OVER 1.5 MILLION TIMES SINCE 2021. THIS NEW SEASON MARKS OUR BIGGEST IMPROVEMENTS TO THE METHOD EVER.

HOW IT WORKS
Trying to understand the Fast Brain method? We've simplified the science behind it into the 5 biggest reasons people find Fast Brain such a game changer.
How it's built
One day in view
One day to a page, so there is less to feel behind on — and room beside it to park whatever else the day throws at you.Four layout families
Circular, Spine, Buckets and Time Block. Rotate to whichever one your brain will cooperate with today.A week that starts planned
Priorities, fixed commitments, habits, meals and the shopping, settled before the week starts. Why that works
Built for momentum
A new colour every month, and checkboxes and trackers throughout. Small enough to finish, rewarding enough to keep going.Calm by design
Tactile covers, calm tones, thread binding and quiet pages. Nothing that jangles, and less to look at while you think.Image 01

Circular Visual/spatial thinking • Reflection • Low-demand
Think of your day as a whole shape, not a vertical to-do list. Circular layouts are low-pressure, generous and visual. Nothing reads as a long, intimidating column, you take the whole day in at a glance.
Turn to it when…
You're overwhelmed and a long to-do list feels like too much.
Spine Breakdown a big task • Structured days • Linear views
One central axis the whole day hangs off. Where circular layouts let you float, spines make you anchor. A structured backbone for days when you need something solid to hold onto and branch from.
Turn to it when…
You need structure and something solid to anchor to.
Buckets Low time-pressure • Clear mental overload • Prioritise
Empty the swarm onto the page, then sort it into containers. This is the most literal expression of the method: externalise your working memory, then triage.
Turn to it when…
Your head is loud and full, and you need to empty it out.
Timeblock Stop over-planning • Simplify time perception
The playful answer to time-blindness. Allocate hours and see clear progress on the page, without it feeling like a rigid corporate planner.
Turn to it when…
The day is packed or time keeps slipping away from you.

The colour is beyond my expectations; so rich and luxurious. I love it. I have three notebooks in the folio, including one non Friend but they fit beautifully and work really well. I love the lacing and the little charm.
I love this little charm, it makes my day everytime I pick up my folio. I was hoping it wouldn't be too big and clunky, but I was so pleasantly surprised to see how tiny and cute it was. So gorgeous. Just the perfect size, addition to my folio and perfect decoration.
I am getting used to the products but i feel like the selection in the set is a little repetitive. Also I thought the set came with one of the magnetic page holder/book marks. I am guessing it didn’t.
Excited to see how this works for my brain!
Lovely color folio but super disappointed with the engraving.Sent a note detailing the custom engraving and did not receive what was detailed. Better luck next time I guess.

I'm less sure about this journal as it feels more suitable for writing contemporary fiction. I have seen some great apps for story writing that feel a bit more expansive. It felt a little too limiting to be creative for me.
I really like how this is about reviewing stories whether they be books, films, TV or music. It suits me because I think a lot about the art of storytelling but it might not work well as purely a reading log for those who also want to write about non fiction for example. I also wasn't keen on having such a large space for quotes. I would have preferred more room for the review.
It's such a lovely idea to be able to have a dedicated book to noting all my nature observations. However, when I go birdwatching I will be identifying dozens of birds potentially and so the layout of this notebook doesn't lend itself well to the reality.
Really like the layout of the cooking friend. It has helped me to finally write down some recipes which has prompted me to cook more instead of ordering in!
Enjoying my full bundle of all the different notebooks. I have jsut discovered these planners and booklets and i am a new fan!
A great folio! I customised one for my bestie's 30th ❤️
Beautiful colours and love the dual tip!
.
This product has been life changing. Allowing me to dump everything in my brain and enjoying the old school feeling of checking off task! LOVE IT🩷
I am captivated by this brand and the ease in which to use my already much loved creators friend! Very grateful to have discovered x
Love the colour of my folio and love Creator Friend it has changed my life and gives me a place to focus all my thoughts and ideas.
I love the new folios. I’m not to sure on the new fbf. But they are growing on me
I have the Olive folio and while I love the color of this folio it feels thinner and not as sturdy. I feel like I could rip through it if I'm not careful. I was expecting the same quality as the Olive but I was a bit disappointed.
Refillable Folio in Periwinkle Blue
Store owner replied: Thanks Joeisha, you may find the feel of the material can vary slightly from due to the colouring, though they are all made using the exact same material standards and design x
I am very happy with my delivery, it is perfect and on time. Thanks
Would love more colour options for the cover! Otherwise, exactly what I expected and needed, thank you
It’s so soft and I love that it has my initials so no one can claim it lol
Love this whole system, Im a busy mum and ECE teacher and this is a great way to stay on track.
Received my entire order on time with no issues. I was going to take my journal with me on my trip to France, but I have postponed, due to the civil unrest. I am very tempted to start using my journal right now, it looks so good!
I loved the old highlighters, but the new ones are a different texture and less pleasant to write with. The blue one arrived very streaky right out of the box and already looks like it’s running out of ink. Not the quality I was hoping for. The blue one is barely usable due to the ink issues.
These are great for weekly overviews and planning
These are my go to daily trackers for work! Perfect for jotting things down across multiple projects and new crises, and easy to visually triage throughout the week

The green one is cut wrong. So the color doesn't show! But i like the other colors.
I love the system and enjoy bringing the folio with me - with the weekly planner and fast brain friend, keeping the rituals and learning friend notebooks in my drawer for other forms of documenting.
I am a list person, and always have been. I usually have all separate lists in all different spots. Now I have all my lists in the one book, and I will be able to look back on them easily. Plus I enjoy writing my entries, and prioritising them. I especially enjoy crossing them off!
It’s perfect!
I love the new release Fast Brain Friend for everyday planning! It gives my ADHD brain novelty with the many different layouts and the different gorgeous colour ways of the notebooks! With instructions on each page I am not stuck in task paralysis! They are a pleasure and a delight to use!
Saddle is the new Olive: confession time, I strayed from my friends for a month or so, But came back home to my Fast Brains and discoveres The Rituals weekly. It is exactly what I didnt know I needed - more present, aware and reflective, love this and am now a repeat offender
Helps me balance out my weeks and love the option to dump then plan from the task list. Love the new colour❤️
I’m really enjoying using these pens.

The colour is perfect. The magnet is strong and sturdy, it is withstanding being thrown in and out of my backpack. I haven’t had to scratch round the bottom of my backpack to find it! Winning!
Great!
