Of all the designs we've created at Friend Notebooks, Imagination Land holds the deepest personal significance—it was conceived specifically for my son.He’s the type of child who every educator we’ve ever encountered says something along the lines of “it’s his world - and we’re just living in it” - which is to say that he has the most VIVID imagination.

He is incredibly creative and his ability to approach the world from a perspective others couldn’t possibly anticipate is remarkable. That sense of whimsy and unfettered imagination is something I strongly believe we should encourage in our kids. It’s what drives new frames of thought, innovation, creation.

I want children to feel capable of harnessing their own ideas and composing them into compelling narratives. And so I spent the past 12 months developing the right tool for these future storytellers. Imagination land exists for him. It’s the place he goes to build on his skills as a storyteller, to be inspired, and to gain confidence in his ideas and where they may take him.
