A new week, a new hobby (and this one was a fun one!)

We had just finished our True Crimes Podcast challenge and a new challenge was ready to be drawn.

So, Alanah and Ashleigh sat down and drew the next hobby out and it was. . . WINE TASTING!

I personally am not a big wine drinker but this hobby was right up Alanah’s ally, so she took the lead and purchased multiple different wines and created charcuterie boards to pair with the various flavours.

We decided to invite some of our staff and make a nice afternoon out of it! (It proved a nice excuse to chat and sip with the girls 😆).

We tried 7 different wines (don’t look at me like that) and profiled them all in our Taste Friend. This notebook was perfect for a wine tasting as we could note important details about the wines such as name, description, where it was produced and where we consumed the wine. You can then note on the flavours and utilise the composition wheel. Finally you can rate the wine and add any extra notes and pairing suggestions.

Even though I don’t drink a lot of wine, I’m very glad I have this record as I can now go back and see what I liked and what I didn’t like if I were to purchase a bottle of wine in the future!

So on the whole, we loved this hobby! It for sure didn’t feel like a challenge at all!
