Jumping into the world of Shakespeare

4 hobbies down, a multitude to go!

And what do you know, we have landed back to back Learning Friend challenges.

Just recently having completed the “learn a new topic” challenge, Alanah and I managed to select Acting for this week's hobby (and weren't we excited!).

I have quite a big acting background and decided to take the charge in this Hobbies Challenge by teaching Alanah about analysing Shakespearean text (I promise it is fun!).

So, I made a powerpoint, noted down some very important analysis techniques and then held a sort of lecture to relay the information to Alanah.

We learnt 8 different techniques and applied them to various different sections of Shakespearian text such as Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, All's Well That Ends Well, Etc! We recorded each technique in our Learning Friend as we went along to ensure that we were properly absorbing the information (and to have for future reference when we decide to dive back in).

Honestly, This was so much fun! This was our first Hobbies Challenge where we collaborated together instead of working individually and we both thoroughly enjoyed it (I know for a fact that Alanah will definitely have to wear the teacher hat when we pull the Gardening hobby from the jar 🫠).
