HOW TO INSERT NOTEBOOKS INTO A REFILLABLE FOLIO
INSTRUCTIONS
INSERTING YOUR NOTEBOOKS
Trying to secure some pretty little notebooks into a folio? Here's some instructions.
STEP 1 of 4
Folio all laced and ready to go? >
Pick a notebook and open it up to the centrefold >
Now slip it under the inner-most lace >
Close the notebook and pull to tighten.
STEP 2 of 4
For your second notebook, you should have one really long inner loop to utilise >
Repeat the process of opening a notebook to its centrefold, then slipping it beneath your remaining lace >
Keep it open.
STEP 3 of 4
Here’s the tricky bit.
I want you to criss-cross that lace in the centrefold; like you would a hair tie when you’re trying to make a ponytail >
This is going to make a new loop.
Now stretch that loop over the front cover of your notebook >
That's it. All the way over until its snug against the spine of your notebook >
Look at that, a new space ready for a notebook!
STEP 4 OF 4
Let’s pick a third notebook and open to the centrefold >
Now slip it under the remaining exposed lace, all the way and close >
Ta-da! Your folio is ready to use >
To close your folio, wrap the outside elastic around the belly.
BONUS // ADDING A FOURTH NOTEBOOK
Go back to that second notebook, the one where you criss-crossed the laces. You’ll notice you have 2 laces inside this one >
I want you to twist those laces around each other, then give one a pull to tighten. This is going to anchor the laces at the top and bottom >
Which means you can now pull one of them out, and over the back cover of your notebook >
Ta-da! A fourth space.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Your cover will soften and patina over time into a pliable, buttery leather.
- The covers are naturally durable and can take a good workout, but we recommend keeping that out of intense heat or sunlight to prevent damage.
- The cover is easy clean, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth.
- Your elastics might wear over time but can easily buy replacement laces here.
