Preparing your cover:
- Your cover will have been shipped rolled
up to protect it from damage during transit. It will be a little stiff and a little curled. Never fear, it will flatten back out all on its own over a few hours (a bit like a rug!). - Your cover is made from 2 pieces of leather which have been fused together. The side which has the two metal clasps is the inside. You’ll also see 2 strings of elastic on this side. You will be able to string any thread-sewn or saddle stitched A5 notebooks in here.
Inserting your notebooks:
(1 of 3) Take your first notebook insert and place either one of the inner elastics through the centrefold, pull to tighten.
(2 of 3) Twist / criss-cross the second lace into your next notebook, then pull it back over its cover.
(3 of 3) Slide your third notebook into that exposed lace.
On the other side of your cover is one last elastic. Loop this around the belly to secure it.
Caring for your cover:
- Your cover will soften and patina over time into a pliable, buttery leather.
- The covers are naturally durable and can take a good workout, but we recommend keeping that out of intense heat or sunlight to prevent damage.
- The cover is easy clean, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth,
- Your elastics might wear over time but can be easily replaced. Follow the below video to replace them yourself or email us as hello@creatorsfriendstationery.com
